Tricks on The Dead continues to receive recognition having received Best Documentary at the Canada International Film and Television Festival (2015),  Audience Must See Award at the Vancouver International Film Festival (2015) and Best International Production at the Guangzhou International Documentary Film Festival (2015), the DocuDrama has been nominated for four 2016 Canadian Screen Awards including best history documentary.
